Terms of use

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms cover the website tenax.run, its documentation and the downloads it links to. They are offered by The Republic IT International de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. ("The Republic", "we"). By using the website you accept them.

The software is licensed separately

Your use of Tenax itself (the operator, the console, the CLI and their source) is governed only by its license, The Republic Lex Aequa License 1.0, which is included in every release. If these terms and the license ever disagree about the software, the license wins.

Using the website

You may read, link to and share the website and the documentation, and copy examples from the documentation into your own configuration and code. You may not:

  • attack, overload or try to break the website or its hosting, or bypass its security;
  • scrape it in a way that degrades the service for others;
  • present the website, its content or the Tenax name and logo as your own, or use them to suggest that we endorse you or your product.

Trademarks

"Tenax" and the Tenax logo identify our product. You may use the name to refer to Tenax truthfully (for example "backs up with Tenax"), but not as the name of your own product or service, and not in a way that suggests we endorse you. The license's rules on names and notices also apply.

No warranty

The website and the documentation are provided "as is". We work to keep them accurate, but they may contain errors or describe a version other than the one you run. Backups protect you only when they are tested: always verify your restores (Tenax's verification restores and sandboxes exist for this) before you rely on them.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the website or the documentation, including loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. The software's warranty and liability terms are those of its license.

Third-party services

Downloads are served by GitHub, the WinGet package service by Microsoft, and the website by Cloudflare. Their terms apply to their services.

Privacy

How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the new terms.
