Install the CLI¶
tenax is one command for your laptop: open the console, list targets and backups, restore, and connect to
sandboxes.
Or download tenax-windows-amd64.zip (tenax-windows-arm64.zip on ARM) from the
CLI releases, unzip it, and put tenax.exe on your
PATH.
Download tenax-darwin-arm64 (Apple silicon) or tenax-darwin-amd64 (Intel) from the
CLI releases, check it against SHA256SUMS, then:
Download tenax-linux-amd64 or tenax-linux-arm64 from the
CLI releases, check it against SHA256SUMS, then:
Check it:
Connect it to your Tenax¶
Nothing to configure: the CLI uses your current kubeconfig context.
When your administrator published the console (expose.cloudflared.consoleHostname), log in once; it needs
cloudflared:
In CI, set TENAX_SERVER, TENAX_ACCESS_CLIENT_ID and TENAX_ACCESS_CLIENT_SECRET (an Access service token).
Every command takes -o table|json|yaml and exits non-zero on failure.
Language¶
The CLI speaks English, Español, Português (Brasil), Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Polski, Русский, Bahasa Indonesia, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文 and 繁體中文. Commands and flags stay
English; messages and help change. Pick one (saved in the CLI's config file), or set TENAX_LANG for one shell:
tenax config languages # the codes
tenax config set language es
tenax config unset language # back to English
When no language is set and your system's language is one of these, tenax --help shows a one-line hint with the
command to switch.
Next¶
- Restore a backup or a point in time.
- Connect to a sandbox with
tenax sandbox connect. - Every command: CLI reference.
